A nice application that completely designs of all types of shell and tube heat exchangers.
Pros: A design tool that could be used to make chemical designs and rating calculations of Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers. The software enables you to design heat exchangers in an elaborate step by step process. Considered to be a professional software, the application is easy to use and can calculate unknown shell/tube side temperature by iteration method. A user can also select from different correlations to calculate shell or tube heat transfer coefficient. The software lets you estimate the physical properties of more than 1450 components. The database helps with estimating of thermal Conductivity, Density, Heat Capacity and Viscosity. The database also stores the critical properties, boiling and melting points. With this software, you can design all possible types of shell and tube heat exchanger including fixed tube plate, U-tube, split-ring floating head, pull-through floating head and outside packed head.
